Is this your first time here? Fantastic and welcome aboard, half the the work is done for you 😉 Those that are longtime users of Ultimate Edition can inform you, where you have landed is unlike any other Linux distribution. I would like to foremost apologize for the time involved in creation of this release, ditching Ubuntu as a whole.
What is Ultimate Edition Arch? Ultimate Edition Arch was built from the Ground up & work by hand. This release IS a rolling release, supported until the year forever. This release is most certainly worthy of the Ultimate Edition title. I have advanced to allow for zstd compression, while this does make it slow when running live, does allow for a wider swath of Software or Games. Once installed nothing can contend with it as can be seen in the video, UEFI is as well supported.
I have re-written the bootstrap to open doors that computers in the past did not work including writing NVidia & Intel Graphics support. You can thank Mr_Breeg for NVidia support 😉
It has a caused a huge educational tour for me, yes I have it installed & is my main daily driver on multiple computers. I have modified Repostorm to convert software as well as make it build Arch based repositories, multiple at that.
I have written a very basic “how to” for my transition from a Ubuntu based Linux to Ultimate Arch. I record errors, so I can fix them. We will call that a wip file.
We are far from done.
This section will expand as I continue to build.
